1965 - Born in the North of France, from a french labour and a belgian sailor family.
1980 - First guitar, first songs... Strongly influenced by Jacques Brel and Charles Baudelaire.
1982 - First shows at the College, first records on... tape !!!
1999 - The album "Hors-Saison" of Françis Cabrel acts like a revelation on me. It leads me to the modern Blues, particularly to Keb Mo who seduces me with his warmth and his simplicity.
2000 - The inspiration doesn't leave me anymore. I built a Home Studio and I record a 7 titles album.
2002 - I take two years of courses with Jean-Yves Gautier (alias Syd Mc Angel) to perfect my knowledge of guitar.
2004 - Jean-Yves agrees to arrange my songs and we start a rich collaboration...
2005 - I create a blog (www.phil-the-blogeur.com) to broadcast my songs. Statistics count 1400 to 1800 visits monthly.
I receive positive criticals and encouragements from some professional french artists like CharlElie Couture, Olivier Gann, Thibault Abrial...
Then a long time searching for my way between realistic songs, folk and celtic music...
2007 - I create the actual web site for my self-broadcasting and promotion. I try to diffuse my songs on local radios, restaurants... I search for a label and/or some professional singers.
Syd Mc Angel and I make a 11 titles album "Duet" with our two years of common work (the album is delivered for our promotion and is in sold here on demand).
My 8 titles album "S'il Fallait Te dire" is on online sold on Jamendo (www.jamendo.com).
I broadcast on MySpace. I have many contacts with different artists in France and around the world (e.g. Lost White Brother).
I try to define the "Poésie Naïve" ("Simple Poetry") genre. I create a compilation disk "Bande de Naïfs" ("The Simple Band") that gathers Olive Moncoin, Javel, Cornac Zelia Tropp, Maureen, Miss Lilly, Guillaume and myself to promote the genre with producers and labels. These artists are all on MySpace.
